Maps and Directions

The Harborview Recovery Center in the Saint Joseph Hospital is located at 2900 North Lake Shore Drive in Chicago's Lakeview/Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Parking

Patient and visitor parking is available on the second, third, fourth and fifth floors of the hospital’s parking garage, located on Oakdale Avenue.


Entrance

Please enter the hospital through the doors marked “Hospital Entrance” between 6 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. At other times, please enter through the “Pavilion Entrance” doors. If you need to be dropped off, require wheelchair assistance, or have difficulty walking, please use the circular drive located in the front of the hospital at 2900 North Lake Shore Drive.

Driving Directions
From the West Take the Kennedy Expressway (I 90). If coming from the south, exit at Diversey eastbound. If coming from the north, exit at California Avenue and turn left onto Diversey Avenue eastbound. Drive east on Diversey Avenue to Sheridan Road (same as Lakeview) and turn left. Turn right at Surf Street. Turn left at Commonwealth Avenue and turn right at Oakdale Avenue. The parking garage is on Oakdale Avenue.
From the North Exit Lake Shore Drive at Belmont Avenue and take Inner Lake Shore Drive south to the hospital. Turn right onto Oakdale Avenue to the parking garage entrance.
From the South Exit Lake Shore Drive at Fullerton Avenue and drive west. Turn right at Cannon Drive. At split, veer right onto Inner Lake Shore Drive. Turn left onto Oakdale Avenue to the parking garage entrance.

Public Transit

  • CTA Bus Routes - The #77 Belmont bus stops in front of the hospital. The #151 Sheridan and #156 LaSalle buses stop at the corner of Surf Street and Sheridan Road; the hospital is located one block east of this bus stop.

  • Rapid Transit - The Brown and Purple "el" lines stop at Diversey Avenue. From there, take the #76 Diversey bus east to Sheridan Road; the hospital is located one block east of the bus stop. Visit the Chicago Transit Authority website for complete schedules and route maps.
